Christmas spirit? Unfortunately no! At the elite boarding school Barton Academy, the unpopular teacher Mr. Hunham (Paul Giamatti) looks after the unfortunate students who don't know where to spend the holidays. After a few days there is only one student left, the rebellious Angus (Dominic Sessa). Together with cook Mary (Da'Vine Joy Randolph), they experience all sorts of strange mishaps and moving moments that, against their will, weld the unlikely trio together into a surrogate family.
