The film:

During the summer vacation of 1958, hothead Danny met the shy Sandy. They both spend a romantic time in love - until school starts again. Then Danny realizes that wallflower Sandy is in his class, but has to give her the cold shoulder so as not to jeopardize his reputation as the coolest rooster in his rock gang. Disappointed, Sandy punishes him with contempt, which is why he rehearses his rapprochement at rock'n'roll parties.
